Kris Westrich

Kristopher Westrich is originally from Rochester, NY. where, as a student of Wesley Nance, he received an Honors Diploma from The Eastman School of Music’s Preparatory Division. He then went on to earn his B.M. degree from Northwestern University, under the guidance of Charles Geyer, Barbara Butler, and Christopher Martin. Additionally he earned a Professional Studies Certificate from The Colburn School, where he was a student of James Wilt. Kris is also a trumpeter with The United States Air Force Concert Band, in Washington, DC. Before joining the Air Force in 2011, Westrich was a freelance musician in several cities throughout the Country, including Rochester, New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles. He has performed with a wide array of ensembles including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra's MusicNow contemporary music program, the Rochester Philharmonic, The Chicago Philharmonic, and the Chicago Civic Orchestra.
